In the beginning . . .
It all started at the Games-Workshop in Sydney where they were having a sale. That’s when I bought the boxed game and got the Dark Eldar Codex. After putting the warriors together and studying the codex and White Dwarf magazines, I decided the black and gold scheme for the warriors and the black armour and grey skin for the Wyches was the paint scheme for me. It gave them a dark and dangerous feel to them. Just what I wanted. The next thing I bought was the Lord, and I painted it in the same black and gold scheme as the warriors.
Slowly expanding
It was a while before I got the next addition to my Kabal. It was a Jetbike squad that I bought off my friend. Now that my Kabal was starting to grow I figured I needed to give it a name. I first came up with Deaths Hand and the Black Cult, a name fit for pirates. I then started to come up with my army list; Incubi and my Lord on a Raider, warriors with splinter cannons, a raider full of Wyches, jetbikes and scourge. Then as the size of the army increased I wanted to get as many different types of troops as I could, but after reading the advice and tactics found in the White Dwarf magazines I thought up a better army and a new name. So, Satan’s Claw and the Cult of Eternal Darkness were born.
I continually searched the web for strategies for the Dark Eldar to use, and finding very little I decided to make my own web site dedicated to the Dark Eldar. As I was searching through the net I stumbled upon the Commorragh mailing list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/commorragh. If you are not already part of this list you should think about joining. They are constantly giving advice to players, typing up battle reports for you to read and discussing the rules.
I decided to drop the Scourge and instead bought a Ravager. I also got a Raider squad, some Mandrakes, Warpbeasts and a couple of Haemonculus. My army was totaling about 1500 points and was doing quite good for itself.
It was a while before I decided to expand my army and this time I decided to focus more on the Haemonculus Coven. So I got a Talos, some grotesques and converted a haemonculus on a jetbike. I also made a custom vehicle for my Wych Cult. With these new models I decided to give my army a new name; the Kabal of Eternal Terror, the Coven of the Eternal Damned and the Cult of Eternal Darkness.
Now I wanted something to make my army more unique and the best way to do this is with conversions. Using some mandrakes I made the Decapitator and I also did a small conversion with the Urien Rakarth model to make him stand out more.
Kabal of Eternal Terror
Archon and Incubi on a raider
The Decapitator
Mandrakes
2 Warrior Squads
2 Raider Squads
Ravager
Coven of the Eternal Damned
Urien Rakarth
2 Haemonculus on foot
1 Haemonculus on a jetbike
Grotesques
Talos
Cult of Eternal Darkness
Wyches on a raider
Warp Beasts
Reaver jetbikes
Soul Reaper - a custom made vehicle
In total I have just over 2000 points worth of troops, giving me a good selection for most battles. Check the Photos page to see what my army looks like.

The Soul Reaper is a heavily modified reaver jetbike. It is a light scout, and takes up one slot in the 'Fast Attack' of the force organistaion chart.

Tactics
There are two main tactics that I use. The first one is using the Webway portal. I rush forward with my raiders using the cover as much as posible. I then open the portal and bring on my Talos, Warp beasts and Warriors. This will usually overwhelm the enemy in a bloody combat.
The other main tactic is using my Reavers and Wych Squads as tank busting squads while my Raider squads and Incubi go in and murder the troops.
I always try to use the terrain as much as possible. When ever a raider goes down I leave it on the table to use as cover. I try to set up crossfires with my Raider squads and Mandrakes as much as possible, especially against marines.
The Future
What does the future hold for the Kabal of Eternal Terror, the Coven of the Eternal Damned and the Cult of Eternal Darkness? Well, hopefully many more successful slave raids to add to the already large number of victims. But as the Kabal grows larger, there will be a few more Raider Squads (you can never have too many Raider squads), maybe another Talos or Ravager, a few Hellions (just because the models are so good looking) and I'm thinking about converting some warriors and zombies to make more grotesques and converting some Dark Elf Witch Elves into a retinue for Lelith.
Pray I don't take you alive . . .
